Just got back from a beach vacation with the family.

Good times.

Totally pointless, yet I actually had a use for it today! I wanted to choose between Dr. Mario and Lost Winds on WiiWare. Lost Winds won!

(Good thing too, because I was going to buy that one anyway)

Sean and I are planning on releasing a professionally printed expansion pack for ElementaliS.  While the expansions have been free to download and print yourself (they still will be, by the way) you soon will be able to get a manufactured set that matches the quality of the base set.

That’s right, on a Sunday.

The designer of the game noticed a post I made about the game and sent me a free copy.  It’s the last of the first 25 copies every produced, and all I can say is that it is absolutely beautiful!

I’m planning on posting some pictures soon, and a review once I get a few games in.

I used to love Shrinky Dinks when I was a kid.  Now I can share that enjoyment with my own children (once they’re a bit older).

I can’t wait.  I may have to try this out soon, you know, just to make sure it’s really as cool as I remember.

Of course.

2 1/2 cups of flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 Tablespoons cold butter
1/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon lemon extract

Preheat over to 425 degrees.

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl. Chop butter into mixture with a pastry cutter or knead in with your fingers until you get a crumbly mixture. Add sugar and mix. Add milk and lemon extract and stir with a fork until dough forms.

Roll the dough out about 1/2 inch thick. Cut out 3 inch squares and transfer to a cookie sheet. Criss-cross each square from corner to corner with a knife. Bake for about 12 minutes or until set and lightly golden. Makes 10 to 12.

This may be some of the best news ever.

I’ve always been a HUGE fan of the Fraggles.  I still have every episode of the original series AND the cartoon series on VHS somewhere.  Recently we started renting the DVDs from Netflix for the kids to enjoy.

I’m seriously excited by this.

Our Loo is just a hole
