Turning the Paige is a great site with reviews of books for young readers.

This is one of the sites I manage at work and really didn’t take much notice of it at first. I figured that most of these books were for pre-teens and young adults and wouldn’t interest me much.

After posting a good portion of Paige’s articles I started to get more and more interested in the books. She’s even started reviewing the Chronicles of Prydain at my suggestion.

Give the site a look. It’s pretty sweet, but I guess I’m biased since I set it up an maintain it.

Reading is something that every child should do. Hopefully this site helps gets young readers’ minds active.

I just recently complete Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass for the DS and it got me thinking. I love the Wind Waker universe, and I would really love to see more of it.

That thought brought me to a thought of Zelda as a overall series. While each game has been great, they’re all pretty much the same. Go here, collect this, go there, collect that.

What I would love to see is a game about the Hero that failed. The Hero that never showed up. The story about the flooding of Hyrule that led to Wind Waker.

Of course the story would follow the actual Hero, who did indeed show up, and maybe didn’t even really fail in stopping Gannon. The game would start right where the normal games usually end. The fight with Gannon.

The game would start with you, the legendary Hero, with all your cool items that you’d normally collect in the game. From here you would head to fight the legendary fight, but something goes amis. Gannon has something up his sleeve which sends Link traveling the globe, scattering the Heroic items and ultimately shattering the Triforce of Courage, the whole time trying to avoid Gannon and his minions from stopping him. Of course this would mean you actually got weaker as the game progressed.
The climax of the game might be that Link himself causes the great flood to cover his track and thwart Gannon’s plans once again. A great sacrifice for the greater good of the future.

It’ll never happen, but I think it would be a great game to play through.
